Business funding – Uusimaa
Business development aid
In the area covered by the Uusimaa ELY Centre, business development aid can be granted for SME development measures and investments when a company is starting up, wanting to significantly upgrade its operations, or seeking growth. This aid is particularly focused on helping companies to internationalise. In the area of the Uusimaa ELY Centre, the support is granted by the Häme ELY Centre.

Where needed, please contact the specialists at the Häme ELY Centre.
Rural business funding
As part of the Rural Development Programme, funding can be granted to small companies operating in or established in rural areas. Companies engaged in primary processing of agricultural products, irrespective of their location, may also apply for such support. Funding may be granted for establishing a business, for investments and for conducting an investment feasibility study. In addition, it is also possible to apply for support for a company group project in which several companies work together as a group to develop their own business activities.
Funding and development of farm enterprises
The Uusimaa ELY Centre supports new farm entrepreneurs by providing start-up support for young farmers and investment aid. It is also possible to apply for direct business subsidies when a farm expands its operations beyond agriculture and forestry. Through development project subsidies, it is possible to obtain funding for the development of rural business life, production opportunities and environmental work, for example through the promotion of training and cooperation between actors.

Development aid for operating environments
Currently, no development aid for operating environments is being granted in the Uusimaa region.
Aid for the development of enterprise operating environments may be granted to non-profit public and private organisations and foundations for projects aimed at creating direct impacts on the operating environment of SMEs or on the conditions for the development of business activities. This aid is granted on a discretionary basis for a development project that is separate from the applicant's basic activities and which is estimated to significantly promote the establishment, growth or development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region. In the area of the Uusimaa ELY Centre, this aid is granted by the Häme ELY Centre.
Regional transport subsidies
Regional transport subsidies are not granted in the operating area of the Uusimaa ELY Centre.
